Swing Therapeutics & Swing Care

Brand, Product Development Lifecycle, & Service Design • 2020 – 2023 • Swing.Care & SwingTherapeutics.com

Led design system, product design and development lifecycle efforts for Stanza, a FDA-cleared app, and service design and launch efforts for Swing Care, an online care clinic for people diagnosed with fibromyalgia.

My Role

  • Built and adovcated for empathy for users, people living with fibromyalgia, a chronic pain condition
  • Collaborated cross functionally to translate clinical goals into web and mobile app product experiences.
  • Led the design and implementation of the Stanza design system and corresponding app redesign
  • Led service design effort for the launch of Swing Care

Team

Cross functional collaboration between Design, copywriters, subject matter experts, legal advisors, researchers, creative agencies, Engineering, Marketing, and Clinical Operations teams.

Backstory

Swing Therapeutics mission to use technology, and psychology to meaningfully improve the well-being of people with chronic pain was a exciting prospect. When I met the team through the interview process, it was a no brainer to join.

During my time, we navigated translating psychological exercises into app experiences, establishing a design system sensitive to our user’s needs, and the complexity of health care compliance through the service design and launch of an online care clinic.

Stanza’s Design System Redesign

Stanza patients get to complete their fibromyalgia CBT program exercises through a mobile app user experience (instead of printer paper) to increase their health outcomes.

Online clinic service design

Swing Care needed an online presence to reach qualifying patients, through a regulatory-informed web experience. Our goal was to make it easy for people to find Swing Care, determine if it’s right for them, and book their first appointment through an online questionnaire.
